Hoi An, Vietnam-Phap Bao Temple is not an ancient site but no less worthy of a visit. Hoi An means “peaceful meeting place” and despite the throngs of tourists that descend upon the ancient village almost year round it is truly one of the most beautiful sites in Vietnam and yes there are peaceful spots around the town including this wonderful Buddhist temple complex. When I visit I wake up early and walk around the village and enjoy the empty streets and the boats coming and going with locals.
