  • Taipei, Taiwan-Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall is an iconic landmark in the capital. It honours the Generalissimo who ruled Taiwan,(Republic of China), as President from 1949 until his death in 1975. Plans are underway to de-emphasize the memorial status and focus the purpose of the site to “facing history, recognizing agony, and respecting human rights.” It overlooks Liberty Square, renamed in 2007 to celebrate its significance as the birthplace of democracy in Taiwan. It’s absolutely one of the most impressive sites in East Asia. #taipei #taiwan #roc #streetphotography#photojournalism #away #tripme #traveling #alone #photooftheday #new#happiness#travelingram #instago #buddhism #instatravel#traveltheworld #instago #beautifulplace#travelpics#travellife #instafollow#travellife #FF #igtravel #followme #travelphotography February 01, 2018 at 09:59PM
