Bagmati River-Kathmandu, Nepal

The Bagmati River is located in Nepal’s Kathmandu Valley. It separates the ancient former kingdoms of Patan and Kathmandu. Considered holy by both Hindus and Buddhists it’s ghats or stone steps were modelled after India’s holy city of Benares, also know as Varanasi.
