Darjeeling, India-One of the wonderful artisans at work at The Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center. Established in 1959 after the dramatic escape of the Dalai Lama from Tibet to India this center was established as a home and workplace for Tibetans. You can purchase everything from carpets to big wool hats, I have a couple, hand painted postcards and more.
