Varanasi, India-Puja on the great Ganges River. Prayers or pujas are frequent in one of India’s holiest cities. Cremations at the burning ghats run 24/7. Honestly it’s an exhausting city to visit but you won’t know what hit you until a few days after you’ve left. Then you’ll crave more-seriously! Great food to be had in Varanasi but think twice before trying the street food-people do get sick from it there. It’s India so negotiate hard especially for boat rides and taxis-auto rickshaws. Don’t be surprised if you’re walking down the street and run into a body being carried to the burning ghats. I’d do this city again anytime!
