Sri Lanka – Beauty In It’s People

Sri Lanka is full of beautiful ancient sites, with opportunities for adventure and inner growth, but my strongest impression from this exotic spiritual tropical island was the unbelievable hospitality of it’s people. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself walking through a village or a quiet street and someone, yes a complete stranger, invites you into their home for a cup of tea. This is the Sri Lankan way.

The country of course is filled with beauty from the hills of the tea country to inspiring temples everywhere. It’s Temple of the sacred Tooth relic in Kandy should not be missed. And it’s wonderful people that have endured so much, and don’t forget the other important island native.(elephants).

The south has some of the most amazing beaches in all of Asia with colonial influences and historic forts. Don’t miss the bustling capital of Colombo, with it’s markets and famous Galle green.

There’s lush tropical landscape, world heritage sites, and yes along the way you’ll probably pass by more of these natives,(elephant).

The ancient cities, inviting temples, wildlife, culture and the amazing spirit , strength and hospitality of it’s people. I know this will not be my last visit here.
