Trekking The Upper Mustang, Nepal

Nepal

On my last visit to Nepal I chose to walk the through The Upper Mustang region, not as popular or as travelled as Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit but a place I can guarantee will amaze you with beauty, culture, and spiritual enlightenment.

When you’re walking on these trails it’s not hard to imagine what it’s been like for traders to move goods back and forth and up and down this terrain. This region is part of Nepal but when you’re here and especially when you reach the heart of the Upper Mustang, Lo Monthang, it’s like being in a lost kingdom of Tibet.

Here’s some sights and sounds from the beginning of the trek starting in Jomsom.
